A year in the Highlands

Sorry we not been about for a while but we have been so busy "he" never gives a break.

We have been here a year today and what a year, we have made new friends 4 other Labs 2 chocolate 2 yellow and now a wee chocolate puppy (not to sure of her yet wee bit small for us) a Alaskan malamute and a GSD who joins us for a walk most Sundays 2 wee Westies then there is Paddy and Max to collieXlabs and they are MAD boy what fun we have all together.

We have been and are taken out in "his" truck on a regular basis and we love it we got our own space in the back with a number of our toys hanging from the guard and when they come out we know we are in for a great time swimming running and of course finding them after he has hid them. We now have some new friends (food if we get a chance) 4 chickens now they are strange things but seem OK they just eat they are worse than us Oh and that stuff they eat corn and pellets UCK its nasty stuff.

So as a quick update that's about it, we did here about one of our brothers Kyle hes doing great on Orkney we often think about him, hope we can meet up one day it would be nice to see him again. We also think of our Home in Wigtownshire and our Mum and its nice to know that all is well there as he stayed in touch with them, so all in all we got it made all of us.

So a year on can we say Thanks to our Mum (Nanna) Lab Rescue (Carolyne) for putting us into the great place the Highlands oh ya guess we better thank "Him" too for feeding us walking our legs off etc etc you get the drill (we love him to bits) but don't tell him. Again thanks everyone you have made Two Labs very happy dogs indeed.

About Us and Him

Hi

We are the Highland Labs, (now anyway) we were born in Wigtownshire and at 4 mths we were driven up to Aviemore where we changed cars and ended up with 'Him' in the Highland just short of Dornoch. We have our own kennel and run (Child free too) for when 'He' leaves us and at bedtime otherwise we have the run of the house and garden also the fields woods and anywhere else we feel like sticking our noses. 'He' walks us miles and miles up hill down dale in all weathers sometimes hes out with us at 5.30am then he goes out and he will the still walk us again at 7pm for a hour or so. 'He has taught us to walk on/off lead to Heel, sit, stay and down come back when called drop or leave anything and everything fetch and find things.

To be honest we have a great time. We will fill you in on some of our adventures as they happen, and you can bet there is bound to be a mishap or two along the way.

What do we like? Well I'm Laird and I like picking things up anything and running around with it in my mouth. Food of course I am a Lab after all and if I can get it the Cat food is best of all BUT even when you think 'Hes doing something else and here's your chance for a quick mouth full its a very loud LEAVE just as I get to it Grrrrrr one day Pal one day..

I'm Ghillie and I like things much the same as my brother but I just take what he has in his mouth after he has been and got it then take it to 'Him' I used to get a treat every time for that now its more like a smile and "fetch it" when I do like Laird I get a treat but neither of us get them every time.

We would write more but 'Hes' just picked up the truck keys (us and the truck there's a tale) could be the chance of a trip here.........we're off See Ya

Highland Labs

Laird and Ghillie the Highland Labradors loaned to us with kind permission of Cathness and Sutherland Labrador Rescue now at 14mths old have started a blog I have set up the blog from now on boys its up to you.

Thanks Pal, he was late feeding us again tonight, made us walk for 2 hours and do silly things like finding stuff he hides. we will chat more later first here we are.....
